Home School Organizations

• Home School Legal Defense Association
  This is a wonderful organization that protects our rights as home educators.  They fight legal battles for home educating families who pay the membership fee each year.  They keep us updated on legal issues that affect our family values.

• Illinois Christian Home Educators
  They bring to our state an annual Convention that brings in well known speakers that teach on many topics relevant to home educators today.  They also publish a free magazine, The Alliant, to Illinois home educators to encourage our daily journey of teaching our children.

• Christian Home Educators Coalition
  A state organization that works to preserve our liberties of home education.  They work closely with ICHE and HSLDA. They hold a legislative day each year at the capital in Springfield. It was held on May 2 of 2007.

 

• Indiana Association of Home Educators
  We are only two hours away from Indianapolis where Indiana holds their state convention each year.  They have many well known speakers delivering information on various issues that will strengthen and encourage your family.  They also provide a free publication for families that have attended their convention.

• Eastern Central Illinois Home Educator Network
  ECIHEN is an acronym for East Central Illinois Home Educator Network. We are a Christian home education support group based in Mattoon, Illinois. We have members from Mattoon, Charleston, Gays, Greenup, Effingham, Humboldt, Neoga, Toledo and Wheeler.

  Bi-monthly publication that is available to help encourage us along the way.

  Opened a Creation Museum in Petersburg, Kentucky on May 28,2007.  Publishes a creation based magazine and sells science curriculum and resources.

• World Magazine - Weekly News Christian Views
  Informs readers of world news from a Christian perspective.

• Focus on the Family
  Christian organization that blesses and supports families in numerous ways.

• Adventures in Odyssey
  Christian Radio program that will thrill your children as they listen to characters learning how to rely on and glorify Christ in all situations. Regularly updates different programs online so those children will keep coming back for more.

  They produce a creation based science curriculum for K-12 including college prep materials for junior high and high school.

  Provide worldview materials for families that want their children to understand and articulate why they believe as they do.

• VisionForum
  Doug Phillips, a well known speaker is the founder of this family oriented resource. They concentrate heavily on our Biblical Historical background and support families to stand firm in their beliefs.

  Sells Christian books and curriculum at low prices.

• Math-U-See
  Steve Demme is the man behind this math curriculum that is hands on based.

• Beautiful Feet Books
  Supply literature and study guides for families that love to learn history through reading literature.

  David Quine provides a Biblical World View Education for families that want to instill deep thinking into their children.
