Encouraging Women
-
The Influential Power
In today's world, it is easy for Christians to walk daily in defeat,
fear, worry, distrust, and despair. Setting the ultimate
example, Jesus Christ is our teacher as we study the power of the
precious gift we have in prayer. In this session, we will
discuss the essentials of developing a personal prayer life.
-
Forgiveness, Are You
Serious?
Forgiveness is a difficult
command that our Heavenly Father requires from each of His children.
All women have been wounded by someone that they trusted.
Forgiveness is necessary to becoming the healthy, whole, and
alluring woman God created her to be. We will discuss the
steps to forgiveness and Crystal will challenge each woman to begin
applying these in her daily life.
-
A Delightful woman
Our culture demands high
beauty standards for our women. Contrary to our world's
perception, God delights in each woman despite her physical
appearance. Discover and experience God's love for you, His
adorable daughter. Uplifting is an understatement in describing this
workshop.
-
Who's In Charge? He is
able!
How do you trust in a God
that you can not see? When encountering difficult situations,
women's tendency is to "fix it". This desire leads us to trust
in only ourselves and what we can do. Inspiring women,
Crystal will discuss how life's tragedies can change to triumphs
when we trust in God's plan.
-
I Can't, Not Me, Oh No!
Fear can become our
foundation regarding daily decision making. The majority of
our worries never materialize. Learn how to stand firm in the
promises of God when life seems to be spiraling out of control.
Take heart, dear woman, God is near!!!
Strengthening Mothers
-
Blessing or Burden?
Do your children feel like they are a
blessing to you or a burden? Unfortunately, many times the
signals that we as parents give to our children lead them to believe
they are an inconvenience. God's word tells us that our children are
a Heritage. In this workshop, Crystal will encourage mothers
to evaluate their own actions through Christ's eyes to discern what
attitudes she is showing to her children.
-
Priorities, why bother?
As mothers, we want the very best for
our children. We spend money, time, and energy for education
and activities to ensure our children succeed. Parenting without
priorities allow our children to miss God's best for them. We will
take a realistic look at the choices we make and the motivation
behind them. This is an eye opening discussion that will
assist any mother on her journey called parenting.
-
Did You Say Something?
All healthy relationships start with
effective communication skills. Mothering is the most
rewarding job on the planet. We will consider how our
communication is affecting our children, how to improve those
skills, and how repair some of the damage we may have inadvertently
caused. Each mom will be amazed at how these truths will spill over
into other relationships as well.
-
Company's Coming!
Does having company over send your
family dancing to the Flight of the Bumble Bee? Calm down!!
Hospitality has become a lost ministry in this busy society and yet
it is a ministry in which relationships are built. It is an
incredible way to show love to our neighbors, teach our children to
serve, and establish family unity. We will look not only at
hospitality of our homes but hospitality of our hearts.
-
Learning to Serve
Teaching our children to serve is one
of the most important traits that we can develop in them. The
Bible instructs us to be servants of God. Together, we will consider
why service can make a dramatic difference in the life of a child.
Moms will be inspired to train their children to be servants at
heart.
-
What Happened? Help Me, He's
Angry!
Do you or someone you know have an
angry child? Weariness abounds in a home where an angry child
resides. Giving up is not an option for the mother who is
looking for answers as to why her child is so angry. In this
session, Crystal is candid about some of her own experiences in
dealing with an angry child. She will discuss some reasons
that can lie behind the anger, how to deal with the angry child, and
solutions to some of the underlying issues.
-
It's My Choice
As parents we get the privilege of
choosing what "curses and blessings" that we carry to the next
generation. "Dysfunctional" is a popular term today used in
describing families. We will look at some ancient "dysfunctional"
families and see how God used them in mighty ways. We will
then peek into our own past generations looking for those curses and
blessings, deciding what legacy we will pass on to our children.
-
To Argue or to Not Argue?
Family unity is an incredible testimony
for Christ. We will look at the differences in family life when
brothers live in turmoil or in peace. Mothers become easily
frustrated and weary when her children are continuously arguing.
Discipleship is an important key in resolving this issue when
siblings just can't seem to get along. Learn some easy steps
to prevent, repair, and maintain family unity.
-
A Child of THE King
Our children are a heritage from the
Lord. Jesus said "Let the little children come unto me."
The media is telling our kids that their worth comes not from God
but from the clothes they wear, the style of their hair, the friends
they keep, etc. As parents, we can have great influence over
our children's thoughts and can overcome the pressures of the world.
Daily, we are given opportunities to interpret our children's world
for them. Learn how to look for these moments each day to
instill in your child his value based on the Fact that he/she
is a Child of THE King!
-
Contentment, Is That
Teachable?
Children left to their own desires,
will become more demanding of us and the world around them. As
parents, we can curtail this appetite monster with some very simple
principles. In this session, we will discuss the importance of
contentment and learn how to put these principles in action.

This shot was taken at McMurdo Sound Antartica. McMurdo
Sound is about a 5 Hour flight south of Christchurch, New
Zealand. This picture was taken in October 1994. As you look
toward the mountains in the background, it is hard to
believe that all that white stuff is the ocean frozen over.
